She is survived by: her significant other Larry Coleman Nelson Sr. of Crestview, Florida; her children, Bradley Nelson of Daphne, Alabama and Dameron "Niecee" Nelson of Mobile, Alabama; her daughter-in-law Megan Nelson of Savannah; her grandchildren, Annaliese Kittrell (Keith), Kaitlin Nelson, Alexander "Cole" Nelson, Isabella Nelson and Jackson Nelson; and her siblings, Diane Barnhart (James), Michael Pennington (Brigitte) and Paula Pennington. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in honor of Shelia's memory.
