She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Britton (Bessie Pennington) and Bessie Britton; and her son Larry Coleman Nelson II. She is survived by: her significant other Larry Coleman Nelson Sr. of Crestview, Florida; her children, Bradley Nelson of Daphne, Alabama and Dameron "Niecee" Nelson of Mobile, Alabama; her daughter-in-law Megan Nelson of Savannah; her grandchildren, Annaliese Kittrell (Keith), Kaitlin Nelson, Alexander "Cole" Nelson, Isabella Nelson and Jackson Nelson; and her siblings, Diane Barnhart (James), Michael Pennington (Brigitte) and Paula Pennington. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home (27409 US-98, Daphne, AL 36526). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Live Oak Cemetery (112 North Ave E, Crestview, FL 32536).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in honor of Shelia's memory.
