She was predeceased by: her parents, Lauren Walker and Emmie Mae Walker; her husband John Will Bishop; her sons, George Alvin Bishop and Eddie Ray Bishop; and her siblings, Mary Ethel Coger, Lorene Hand, Laura Armour, Emogene Barker, Harman Walker and Franklin Barker.
She is survived by: her sons, Calvin Bishop (Charlotte) of Daviston and James Bishop (Tammy) of Piedmont, MO; and her grandchildren, Tabitha Moore, Chad Bishop (Beth), Renae Dempsey (Roger), James Bishop (Sheila), Matthew Bishop (Haylie) and Catlin Hand (Lee). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). The lying in state will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mountain Springs Baptist Church (15191 Co Rd 62, Wadley, AL 36276). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
