It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Wood Waldrop of Deatsville, Alabama, who passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Wood and Ruby Spates Wood; her husband Joe Waldrop; and her siblings, Howard Wood, Betty Spivey and Jean Dunlap.

She is survived by : her sons, Jerry Waldrop, Mike "Wally" Waldrop and Gary Waldrop (Sherron). She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
