He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hendrix and Lenis Waugh Howard; his grandsons, Seth, Kennedy and Aiden Howard; his siblings, Dwaine Howard (Lorraine) and Willene Curbow (Donald); and his brother-in-law David Boyer.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hood Howard; his children, Jeff Howard (Dewana) and Jennifer Key (John); his grandchildren, Logan Howard, Riley Howard (Allison), Joshua Key and Joseph Key; his great grandchildren, Holland Howard, Harrison Howard and Herschel Howard; and his sister Clara Boyer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made In Loving Memory of Mr. Avery W. Howard to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hospice of the Valley, or the Alzheimer's Association.
