She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Smith and Lillie Mae McIntyre Smith (Louis Joseph Gautreaux); her brother Frank Smith; and her brother-in-law Jim Hayes. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Gautreaux; and her sister Carolyn Hayes. She is also survived by three nephews, and one niece.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
