He is survived by: his son Gary Grimes (Kim); his stepchildren, JoAnne Maglio (Beni), Barbara J. Hampton, Arthur W. Gransee (Cleo) and Deborah L. Decker (Dale); and his brother Royce Grimes. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
