It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darell Eugene Myer of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on September 22, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Myer and Nancy Fay Higgins Myer; his stepchildren, Wade Hatfield and Beth Davis (Michael); and his brother Larry Myer.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda D. Carwile Myer; his daughter Melanie Conn; his stepdaughter Brenda Smith (Bryan); his brother Ronnie Myer; his grandchild Kaleigh Conn; and his stepgrandchildren, Erin McKee (Tyler), Patrick McKee, Benjamin Hatfield (Misaki), Benjamin Davis (Becky), Abigail Wells (Austin) and Paige Smith (Tristen).
