We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2025, at the age of 72, David Joe Breland (Decatur, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Edwin DeWitt Breland, Sr. and Hazel Dykes Breland of Decatur; and his sister Carolyn Lee Breland of Decatur. He is survived by: his wife Drama Dorning Breland; his children, Will (Brooke) of Hoover and Mary Katherine (Michael) of Los Angeles, CA; his brother Edwin DeWitt Breland, Jr. (Virginia) of Athens; and his grandchildren, Grady Phillips, Mira Breland, Spencer Breland, James Tichenor and Mary Stephen Phillips (Stevie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Decatur-Morgan Hospital Foundation or First Baptist Church of Decatur's Acts 1:8 Missions.
