D.), Ishmael Hunter (Doris) and Loyd Hunter (Ellie); her siblings-in-law, Ezma Reid (Grady), Ovis McGriff (Jo), Feltus McGriff (Faynell), Milton McGriff (Louise), Herman Barnett and Jerry White; and her parents-in-law, James M. McGriff and Ila Hart McGriff.

She is survived by: her husband Dewel; her children, Billy McGriff (Marti), Joan Polly (Edward), Vicky Richardson and Renee Greenhill (Bobby); her sisters-in-law, Elna Barnett and Carol White; and her grandchildren, Beth McGriff, Jim McGriff (Christy), Melissa Polly, Chris Polly, Angela Sutton, Scott Richardson (Stacy Spears), Josh Greenhill, Lauren Feury (Matt) and Anna Beth Traglia (Devan). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope #2 Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
