He is survived by: his mother Minnie Nelson Wheeler; his children, Kristin Wheeler, Tiffany Fain, Lindsay Marshall, Fortune Wheeler, De'Vonte Hampton and Lendez Hampton; his grandchildren, Micah Marshall and Chloë Wheeler; his sister Linda Wheeler; and his aunt Virgie Byrd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
