He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie Surber and Harold Surber of Alabama; and his grandparents, Mary Emma, Jim Surber, Altha and Thomas Douglas Montz.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Zwick; his children, Dr. Andy Surber (Mary) of Memphis and Callie (Crystal Jee) of Bartlett, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Keenan, Logan Surber of California, Sarah and Hannah Jee of Illinois; and his siblings-in-law, Linda, Jim Moller of Champaign, Ann, Jim Vandiver of Quincy, Julie, Bill Ganzer of Rolling Meadows, Nancy, G. Keller of Quincy, Jody, Greg Frese of Quincy and Peter Zwick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved Alabama cousins.
