He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Shouse and Ruby Shouse (Senter); his brother Vernon; and his sister-in-law Paula Jordan. He is survived by: his wife Jo Carolyn Shouse (Flowers); his sons, James Kevin Shouse (Chris) of Omaha, NE and Philip Lee Shouse of Nashville, TN; his grandsons, Erik and Alex Shouse of Omaha, NE; his sisters, Louise, Helen and Lynette; and his sisters-in-law, Leda and Monica. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nephews, and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, Jim requested that donations be made to Unity Baptist Church in Decatur, AL.
