He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Roberts and Alta Kidd Roberts; and his pet Snookie. He is survived by: his children, Julie Roberts Perry (Wesley) and Justin O'Neal Roberts (Kathryn); his sister Sandy Roberts League (Jim); his grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Roberts, William Roberts Perry and Benjamin McClary Roberts; and his pets, Mollie, Belle and Tigger.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Cemetery (709 Memorial Dr SW, Decatur, AL 35601).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Decatur Animal Services in Jim's memory, a fitting tribute to his lifelong love for animals.
