He was predeceased by: his parents, John Embry Mills Sr. and Louise Elizabeth Reynolds Mills; and his siblings, Dewitt Harden, Elizabeth Ferguson, Patricia Moates, Willie Grizzard, Millie Hamm and Judy Matlock.
He is survived by: his daughter Erin Mills (Adam Carver); his grandchildren, Harlow, Roony, Samson, Simone and Julien Carver; his great grandchild Sarah Mills; and his grandson Jayson Deleaumomt of Louisiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
