He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Isaac Seymour and Mary Alice Inyart Seymour; and his sons, Kevin Hoover and John William "Jay" Seymour Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Michelle Bragg (Joe), Jeremy Seymour (Christy) and Robert D. "Rob" Seymour (Amy); his brother James Seymour; his siblings-in-law, Pam Shoemaker (Buzz) and Alan Huffman; his niece Jana Rodriquez; his grandchildren, Kerri Parton, Anna Basham Mullins (Tim), Sophie Seymour, Drew Seymour and Joey Bragg; and his great grandchildren, John Seymour, Annaliese Basham-Kuntz and Ethan Parton. He is also survived by friends, family members and coworkers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to an organization focused on Alzheimer's disease, which John took a personal interest in after his father was diagnosed.
