She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert O. Cordes and Agnes Ann Cordes; and her brothers, Charles Edward Cordes, Earnest A. Cordes and Melvin D. Cordes.
She is survived by:, Kathy Phillips, Beth Patterson (Terry), Jonathan Walworth, Brad Patterson (Courtney), Pamela Baker (Trey) and Lori Beth Minch (Jacob). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (123 Church St NE, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, at P.O. Box 2745.
