It is with sadness that the passing of Mae Laverne DeVoe (Decatur, Alabama) is shared. Mae, born on December 22, 1930, passed away on July 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Mae will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Mae by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Mae is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Mae’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard'Dick'DeVoe; her son Richard Michael DeVoe; her granddaughter Julia Claire DeVoe; her parents, Fleetis Olean Banks Vest and Floyd Gilbert Vest; and her siblings, Alberta Vest Hampton, Willis Vest and Freddie Vest.

She is survived by: her son Arthur Mark DeVoe of Huntsville, Alabama; and her sister Peggy Vest Tidwell of Madison, Alabama. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to 'The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Alabama', in memory of Mae Laverne DeVoe.
