He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Harris and Hazel Parker Turner; his daughter Linda JoAnn Turner; and his brothers, Gary Lynn Turner and James Kenneth Turner.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Ellenburg Turner; his sister Glenda Ruth Sebourn (Dale); his sons, Emmett Harris Turner II (Amanda) and Michael Dean Turner (Ashley); and his granddaughters, Macie Reese Turner and Lana Brooke Turner. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
