He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey McWaters and Ruby Williams McWaters. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Byrd; his sons, Brian Rex McWaters (Amy) of Charlotte and Scott William McWaters (Aly) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Davis Rex, Josephine Durant (Posey), Anna Elizabeth, Lucian Byrd and Sadie Randall; his siblings, Hubert of Enterprise and Buryl (Anita) of Birmingham; and his sister-in-law Suzanne Byrd of Hartselle.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation supporting Parkinson's research — a cause close to Rex's heart.
