It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Allen Hensley of Decatur, Alabama, born in Seaford, Delaware, who passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Hensley and Opal G. Hensley; his former wife Sue Rodriquez Hensley of Angleton; his stepson Charles L Murphree, Jr. (Chet); and his stepgranddaughters, Kendall Murphree and Kelsey Murphree.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Sample Hensley; his stepchildren, Van Murphree, Atlee Murphree and Lila Murphree (Cindy Small); his stepdaughter-in-law Lisa Murphree; his brother Roy D. Hensley; and his stepgranddaughter Carly Murphree.
