He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Modine Caldwell and William Claude Caldwell. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Quiroz-Rios; his children, Matthew Caldwell (Samantha) and Sherrie Peoples (Damon); his grandchildren, Allison, Emmalee Caldwell, Kierra and Aiden Peoples; his stepdaughter Maria A. Mayfield; and his siblings, Bill Caldwell (Teresa) and Brenda Taylor (Glenn).
