He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nathaniel Orr and Lorene Griffin Orr; and his siblings, Margaret McDaniel, Doris Orr Jackson, Willard Orr, Clinnis Orr, Milton Orr, Clarence Oneal Orr and Burl Orr.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Orr; his daughter Shona Ewing of Huntsville, Alabama; his stepdaughters, Sonya Patterson (Alphonso) of Decatur, Lesa Torain (Wes) of Decatur and Andrea Sharpley of Madison, Alabama; and his brothers, Tex Gray of Falkville and Truel Orr (Clementine) of Hillsboro, Alabama. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Reynolds Funeral Home (103 13th Ave NW, Decatur, AL 35601). The lying in state was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Peter M. B. Church (218 Cedar Lake Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35603). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
