She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Horton and Doris Weidman Horton; her husband Robert "Bob" Waldrop; and her daughter Melody Echols. She is survived by: her son-in-law Jeff Cook; and her grandchildren, Reagan Echols, Emily Crouch, Dawson Echols and Logan Crouch. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel (2105 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
