She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard George and Wanda George. She is survived by: her husband James Satterfield; her children, Dwight Satterfield (Jana) and Tylerann Satterfield Betterton (Donny); her grandchildren, Ashley Satterfield Mott (Joey), Ali Satterfield Barefoot (Thomas), Emily Betterton Jones (Tate) and Noah Betterton; her great grandchild James Brooks Barefoot; her siblings, Susan George Handley (Jackie) and Richard George; and her caregivers, Dru Almon and Jackie Cheatham.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Flint Church of Christ (1205 Mill Rd SE, Decatur, AL 35603). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
