He is survived by: his wife Carol Sandlin; his daughters, Allison Sandlin Liles (Eric) and Mary Katherine Stults (Adam); his brother Dr. Randall Sandlin; and his grandchildren, Hill Liles, Pailet Liles, Annie Stults and Tait Stults.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or the Committee on Church Cooperation, both in Decatur.
