Sylvia M. Gochneaur Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia M. Gochneaur of Decatur, Alabama, born in Paris, Ohio, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Hawkins and Eldora May Hawkins (Fobes); her husband Keith D. Gochneaur; her son-in-law John Thomas; and her siblings, John Hawkins, Charles Hawkins, Elizabeth "Betty" Hawkins, Richard Hawkins, Larry Hawkins and Gloria Jean Hawkins.
She is survived by: her children, Lesley M. Thomas, Kimberly S. Holland, Kerry D. Shaneyfelt (Earl) and Duane K. Gochneaur (Barbara); her grandchildren, Ashley A. Gochneaur, Chelsea E. Gochneaur (Brent), Preston A. Thomas, Haley E. Holland and Jordan KJ Gochneaur (Briana); her great grandchildren, Isabella M. Gochneaur, Brantley A. Gochneaur, Paislee S. Gochneaur and Oaklynn E. Gochneaur; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Hawkins (John) and Lora Hawkins (Richard). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
