He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Michael and Annie Laurie Seagle; and his sister Barbara Ann Blalock. He is survived by: his wife Billie Staggs Seagle; his children, Celestina "Tina" Roux, Carla Seagle Hogue, Serena Seagle McCulloch, David Hicks and Rebecca Mitchell; his grandchildren, Sean, Livia, Logan Hogue, A. J. Smith, David Gregory, McKenzie Hicks, Melanie Daves, Grace and Sarah Mitchell; and his nephews, David and Danny Blalock. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and The Salvation Army.
