With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor Mitchell Hendrix of Delta, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 28, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hugh Joe Hendrix; her parents, Hinton Mitchell and Evelyn Cate Mitchell; her daughter Deb Randle; and her siblings, Bonnie Glaze and Jimmy Mitchell.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry Hendrix (Debbie) of Trussville, Don Hendrix (Donna) of Ashland and Steve Hendrix (Andrea) of Hayden; her son-in-law Tom Randle of Trussville; and her siblings, Jonnie Josey of Columbus, GA, Margaret Worthy of Pinson and Tommy Mitchell (Helen) of Hoover. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
