He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Sims Sr. and Juanita Maxine Sims; his sister Kim Valentine; and his stepbrother Stewart Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Sims; and his daughters, Kellie and Jamie Sims. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and close family friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Center West Missionary Baptist Church (1421 Co Rd 313, Delta, AL 36258).
