He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Howard and Miriam Grimes Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Scarlet Dungan Cherry; his children, Steve Cherry (Shay), Darren Anderson (Lisa), David Anderson and Cindy Cherry McDonald (J. J. Haney); his son-in-law Jeff McDonald (Karen); and his grandchildren, Lorraine Cherry Pritchett (Kevin), Matthew McDonald, Melanie Cherry Nabors, Wesley Anderson (Katie) and Tiffany Whaley. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
