She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Burtin Shelby and Tamsy Annah Weathers Shelby; her sons, Walter Edward Watt and William Charles Watt; her stepson James Brooks Patillo Sr.; and her sisters, Ruth Shelby McCall, Katherine Shelby Plott and Joann Shelby Gilliam.
She is survived by: her son James Noel Watt; her stepsons, Mark Brooks and Eugene Brooks; her daughters, Betty Watt Overstreet and Amory Sue Scarbrough; her stepdaughter Bessie McCall; her brother Marcus Eugene Shelby; and her grandchildren, James Edward Norris Sr., Erin Renee Watt, Will Alton Watt, Seth Andrew Mosely, Jimmy Lester Watt, Margaret Eloise Watt, Harley Daniel Watt, Daniel Lee Windom, Barry Kendal Watt and Walter Allen Watt. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
