He was predeceased by : his wife Martha Norton Prout of Tuscaloosa; his parents, William S. Prout, Sr. and Minnie Lee Prout; his brother Daniel Prout; and his niece Mary Kate Meredith Foster.
He is survived by : his son Norton Prout (Susu); his brother Lee Prout (Mary Lee); his stepgrandsons, Christopher Pow and Harrison Pow; his nieces, Ann Meredith Meador (Murray), Laura Prout Oppenhimer and Katie Prout Matias (Florian); and his nephew Dan Prout (Susan).
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (605 Lurleen B Wallace N Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401).
