It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darryl Thompson of Detroit, Alabama, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darryl Thompson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lecil Thompson and Opal Parker Thompson. He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Bomba (John) of Bowling Green, KY and Jala Echols (Johnny) of Madison, AL.; his grandchildren, Dory Bomba, Daniel Bomba, Walt Echols, Owen Echols and Emma Kate Echols; and his siblings, Larry Thompson of Detroit, AL. and Sharron Williams (Larry) of Detroit, AL.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel (4255 US-278, Sulligent, AL 35586). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at the Detroit Carter Cemetery.
