Melvin D. Sims Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Melvin D. Sims of Detroit, Alabama, born in Longmont, Colorado. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Sims and Gladys Sims; his wife Lenora Sims; his sons, Charles Sims, Melvin D. Sims II, Mitchell Emerson and David Emerson; and his brothers, Kenneth Sims and Floyd Sims.

He is survived by : his children, Tina Marie Steinbeck (Greg), Sherry Upton, Patricia Atwood (Larry), Darl George (Steve) and Donna McDonnell (Brian); and his siblings, Betty Karr, Sharon Seemann, Hazel Thompson, Charles Sims, Glen Sims and Gary Sims. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
