She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bowen and Estelle Bowen; and her husband P. M. "Mac" Russell, Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Patricia Yarborough; her sons, Roger Russell (Janet), Rodney Russell (Sylvia) and Ronald Russell (Tia); her grandchildren, Eric, Michelle, Sarah, Peter, Ryan, Rebecca and Rachel; and her great grandchildren, Maverick, Everitt, Seger, Ridley, Callum and Cooper.
