It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Singleton McAvoy of Dora, Alabama, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her grandparents, JD Daniel, James Singleton, Sr. and Lucile Cunningham Singleton; her aunt Liz Williams; and her significant other David McAvoy.

She is survived by : her son Nathan McAvoy; her parents, James Singleton and Kathryn Singleton; her grandmother Dorothy "Dot" Daniel; her sister Melissa Singleton Bean; and her friend Jennifer Reese. She is also survived by cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Bell Funeral Home Sumiton Chapel (510 Main St, Sumiton, AL 35148). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
