It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aleene Murphy Branton of Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father John Henry; her husband Burnett Branton; her siblings, Johnny Ralph Murphy, Katrine Cobb (Carl) and Irene Graham (Chester); and her great-niece Denese Dismukes.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Bobby Cobb (Sue), Donald Graham (Anne) and Elaine Bruner (Jerry); her great-nephew Michael A. Cobb; her great-niece Laura Watford; and her sibling's children, Nathan Watford, John David Watford, Toni Cannon, Coleman Cannon, Hudson Cannon, Zachary McMurphy Cobb and Mikael O'Neal Holzhauer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church Future Now Fund, 4444 South State Highway 605, Rehobeth, AL 36301.
