He is survived by: his wife Thelmanne McGaughey; his children, Matt McGaughey of Dothan, AL and Cricket Miller (Greg) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Radney, Fox and Maye Miller of Birmingham, AL.; his siblings, Wendy Armstrong Lipscomb of Dothan, AL and Michael McGaughey of Atlanta, GA; his uncle Daniel Maye of Louisville, KY; and his aunt Gail Beck of Salisbury, NC..
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar First Baptist Church (300 W Main St, Dothan, AL 36301). Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
