He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tyler Sims and Ruby Jewel Sims; and his sister Joyce Gilmore. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Richardson Sims; his daughters, Caramon Brightwell (John), Renae Sims and Heather Hobbs (Johnnie); his grandchildren, Ty Edwards and Tiffanei Bush; his sister Jeannette Teeple; his sisters-in-law, Sefi Richardson and Debbie Moody; his uncle B'to; and his children, Ronda Eberhart, Amber Hancock and Diggy Moss.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Residence of Patricia Sims.
