It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carey James Vinson of Dothan, Alabama, born in Midland City, Alabama, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Carey Vinson and Willie Ruth Seay Vinson; and his sister Barbara Creamer. He is survived by: his wife Alberta McCraney Vinson; his children, Brenda Kay Vinson and James Edward Vinson; his stepdaughter Geraldine Lewis (DeWayne); his siblings, Rebecca Saunders (Jimmy) and Jearald Vinson (Annette); his grandchildren, Jason Littlefield, Andy Littlefield (Sara), Elizabeth Nicholas (Ray) and Rachel Payne; and his stepgranddaughter Traci Jackson (Lance).
