She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Carmichael and Marion Carmichael; her stepmother Elizabeth Carmichael (Kirby Lamar Hart); her son Michael Hart; her brother Archie Carmichael III; and her daughter-in-law Susan Hart.

She is survived by: her spouse Kirby Lamar Hart; her children, Dr. Kirby Lamar Hart, Jr. of Dothan, William Singletary Hart (Bonny) of Dothan, Gary Owens Hart (Rhonda) of Dothan and Celeste Hart Martin (Marty) of Chancellor; her sister Nancy Carmichael Bell (John) of Atlanta, Georgia; her stepsister Martha Foy of Dothan; and her grandchildren, Kirby Hart (Allison) of Dothan, Daniel Hart (Elizabeth) of Greenville, SC, Katie DeJong (Ike) of Dothan, Davis Hart (Daphne) of Dothan, Hillary Hart Dunham (Jason) of Huntsville, Hayden Hart Morris (Chris) of Dothan, John Eiland (Nina) of Dothan and Candace Goodwin (Jim) of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
