He was predeceased by: his son Donald Hinson of Newport News, VA; and his siblings, Vernell Brookins, Sara Galloway, Johnnie McComb, Jean Conrad, Betty Branton, Truman Hinson and Dorman Hinson.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Wyer Hinson; his children, Robert Hinson (Susan) of Gloucester, VA, Gregory Scott Hinson (Lisa) of Freeport, FL and Patricia Decote (Eliezer) of Aubrey, TX.; and his sisters, Mae Jackson of Dothan, Barbara Deese (W. J.) of Cottonwood, Gurtha Murphy of Dansbury and N. C.. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
