He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Powell, Sr. and Valonia Powell; his stepmother Donnie Powell; and his sister Jannette Ardis. He is survived by: his wife Karen Coleman; his children, Brittany Paige Coleman, Sidney Vance Coleman, Amanda Renee Powell and Mallory Patrice Powell; his former wife Karen Powell; his siblings, John Thomas Powell (Sheila) of Dothan, Earnest Powell (Monica) of Dothan, Annie Bell West (Eddie), Eddie Lee Powell of Columbia and Valona Womack (Tracy) of Albany, Georgia; and his uncle Amos Powell of Columbus, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
