We bid farewell to Doris L. Bodiford Fulton Sowell (Dothan, Alabama), born in Houston, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 21, 2024 at the age of 85. Doris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, Sandy Lavester and Eurace Bodiford; her husbands, John Stanley Fulton and Bobby Sowell; and her sisters, Velma Coulter, Mary Ketchum (Ellis) and Wilma Dixon (Roy).

She is survived by : her daughter Stephanie Jenkins (Gary); her brother Robert Sowell; her grandchildren, Andrew Bynum (Rhea), Garrison Jenkins, Bailey Ethridge and Olivia Ethridge (Issac); her great grandchildren, Callie Faith Bynum and Ben Benefield; her friend Helen Parish; and her pet Ellie Grace.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Union Springs Freewill Baptist Church (3767 E Cook Rd, Pansey, AL 36370).
