She was predeceased by: her husband Allen "Little Bird" Tison; her parents, Bert Hughes and Thelma Hughes; and her brothers, Charles Shepherd, Joe Hughes, Robert Hughes, Don Hughes and Clifford Hughes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Johnny Hughes, Sherry Icenogle and Evelyn Ross; her sister-in-law Julia Ward; and her cherished Memphis Baptist Church. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memphis Baptist Church (4595 Eddins Rd, Dothan, AL 36301). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Selma Baptist Church Cemetery (3255 S Park Ave, Dothan, AL 36301).
