She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Dewey and Daisey Estelle Benton Patterson; her husband Robert L. Powell; her son Robert "Bob" Lamar Powell; and her grandson Wes Powell.
She is survived by: her son Charlie Powell; and her sisters, Patsy Sorenson (Jimmy) and Quay Lewis. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
