He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Pitts and Alberta Pirkle; his wife Rose Pirkle; and his son Harold Wayne Pirkle. He is survived by: his children, Fred Allen Pirkle, Jr., Donald Earl Pirkle (Laura), John Elvin Pirkle (Emily) and Patricia House; and his sisters, Velma, Anita, Ann, Brenda and Joan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
