He was predeceased by: his parents, John Knox and Charlotte Knox; his aunt Stella Skrzypski; his wife Donna Alday; and his siblings, Linda Knox and John Knox, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Kreis, Wendell Gobbell and Nichole Tate; his grandchildren, Evan Tate and Morgan Tate; and his siblings, Ronald Knox and Karen Ix (Stephen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
