He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine "Jane" Trotter; his parents, John Trotter and Elisabeth Trotter; his siblings, William P. Deavers, Doris Maria Kennon, Evelyn Terral and Nancy Griffin; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Trotter, Jimmy Hughes and Rodney Barron.
He is survived by: his sons, Stacey Trotter (Kim), Jeremy Trotter (Kayla) and Lucas Trotter (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Abree Buie (Matthew), Colton Trotter, Emerson Trotter, Lofton Trotter, Ashlyn Trotter, Paxton Trotter, Clayton Trotter and Easton Trotter; and his siblings, John Louis Trotter, Jr., Jackie Elisabeth Trotter, Peggy T. Hughes and Beverly Ann Barron.
