Gordon Cethwren Layton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2023, at the age of 88, Gordon Cethwren Layton of Dothan, Alabama, born in Pansey, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Cook; his wife Barbara Jean Layton; his siblings, G. W. Layton and Betty Hardy; and his granddaughter Lacy J. Layton.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Kelly and Michael G. Layton (Robin); his grandchildren, Jamie Kelly (Carrie), Jessica Welch (Chad) and Madison Rivenbark (Stewart); and his great grandchildren, Mabrie, Brackin Welch, Addyson, Maddox, Bentlie Kelly, Keller Rivenbark and Zoey.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made in his honor to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research at P.O Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland. 21741 or to the Cloverdale Baptist Campus Upgrade Fund at 806 Dexter Street, Dothan, AL 36301.
